Doxychain / Advisor

Alignment before acceleration

A leadership team with competing views left the engagement with one product strategy, one roadmap, and a clearer way to work together.

The situation

Doxychain was building a product that used blockchain infrastructure to strengthen the security and verifiability of digital signatures. The company had raised early capital and had a capable team, but the CEO and CTO were working from different assumptions about the product and its direction.

The disagreement was beginning to appear everywhere: priorities, roadmap decisions, team conversations, and the story being told outside the company. More execution would only have made those contradictions more expensive.

My role

I went to Warsaw as an advisor. My first job was not to arrive with an answer. It was to observe how the team worked, listen to each perspective, and understand where the product, commercial ambition, and technical reality had stopped matching.

I helped the leadership turn those separate views into a shared product strategy and roadmap. We also introduced practical processes that made responsibilities and decisions clearer across the team.

The work required strategy, but also empathy. A useful advisor has to see what each person contributes, understand what is missing between them, and create a structure in which those differences make the team stronger.

What changed

The immediate result was alignment: one direction the leadership could communicate and the team could execute. Doxychain later went on to raise further capital, win customers, and reach an exit.

Those later outcomes belong to the founders and team. My contribution was specific: helping them resolve a critical moment early enough that they could move forward together. That is often the highest-leverage role an advisor can play.
